I have always thought that writing for a newspaper would be a fascinating experience. Journalists get to experience history as it happens and they only have to report the news in return. Blogging is different. It seems to be more open…more free.
I like to think of blogs as the modern-day’s version of the pamphlets of the eighteenth century. Average citizens with unique view-points, if well researched and well developed, can make their voice heard and perhaps spearhead the change that they want to make in the world. There are a lot of opinions floating around and usually the best one’s stand out.
I am writing to improve my writing skills and explore my own ideas and opinions. As a man in my early twenties, I am still forming my world-view as I learn. It is my hope that articulating my thoughts in this blog will help my mind expand. Hopefully, I will also help you, the reader, to expand your mind as well.
I will be writing about politics, theory, sometimes film, sometimes religion, and almost always about current events. In all of my posts there will be a common theme of common sense.
