While watching the movie in early May with my father and younger brother, I noticed how
the character Hawkeye was used to explore the importance of parents in providing a stable
family life and applied that theme to the Avengers, a group of adults who (all except Hawkeye)
have “daddy issues” of their own.

If you watched the May 2nd fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, you
probably feel slighted for spending your hard-earned money on watching two men in their mid-
thirties hug for twelve rounds. You may have also felt that the world is more than a little unfair
when the monetary results of the fight became public yesterday. Despite the fact that two men
generated nearly $600 million dollars in one day according to the Business Insider1, I’m here to

My favorite individual comic strip of all time is from the Family Circus series. In the individual strip, the Family Circus’ oldest son Billy is in Sunday school with his siblings and their friends.
